SCHOOL LIFE
We trust a blessed Easter was had and enjoyed by all. Thank you for the Easter egg donations. The Junior Mini Council collected over 300 000 Easter Eggs! Well done!
We would like to thank and congratulate the choir, actors and teachers involved in putting on such a moving performance of the Passion Play. Well done.
The school will be celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of Lebanon on Friday 3 May.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
All learners are to change to their winter uniforms from 6 May. If it is still hot, learners may wear the short-sleeved shirt with their tracksuit. All uniforms must be clearly marked. You are welcome to visit our second hand uniform shop on Mondays and Wednesdays from 13:30 – 15:00.

ABSENTEEISM
If a learner is absent from school a letter from the parents or a doctor’s note is compulsory. When a learner is absent from school on a Monday or Friday or for two or more consecutive days only a doctor’s note will be accepted. Please avoid making appointments for your children during school hours and fetching them early as this disrupts their learning.
NIGHT NETBALL
The school and the U/13 and U/14 netball girls will be hosting a friendly Night Netball tournament on Friday 14 June. Join us in showing your support for this exciting event. The tournament will start at 17:30 until 20:00 and there will be food on sale.
CHARITY
This term the Grade RR – 3 learners will be supporting the Save the Rhino campaign, details will follow shortly. Our Grade 4 – 9 learners will be participating in the National Slipper day for the Reach for a Dream charity. R10 is to be paid to the class teacher. Slippers may be worn on Friday, 10 May. Teachers will further inform the learners.
EISTEDDFOD
Learners who have committed themselves by choosing to take part in the Eisteddfod are expected to attend ALL practices. Learners have the relevant details.
PARENT’S EVENING
In term 3, reports will be sent home with learners on the last day of school. Parent meetings for specific reasons will only be held. We, therefore, encourage all parents to attend parent’s evening on Thursday, 20 June.

WORKSHOPS
We will be hosting a series of workshops this term for both parents and learners. The dates will be as follows:

CAREERS DAY
On 16 May, the Grade 8 & 9 learners will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of academic, technical and professional representatives at Career’s Day. The small event will take place during school hours and is geared at giving our learners access to career and study information. Parents are welcome to attend between 12:00 and 14:00.

FESTIVAL
We will be hosting our 18th Annual church Festival on Sunday, 26 May. Come and join us for some family fun at our game stalls and have a bite to eat while you enjoy the festivities.

We are not asking for assistance or donations for our stalls at the festival as we require your support in purchasing/selling the raffle tickets. All proceeds come to our high school.
